World Class Tone, World Class Pickups
The matter of tone is twofold. There is the timbre, or sound color (the tone itself, the voice of the instrument), and the overall performance: such things as presence, transparency and definition, tight low end, wide dynamic and frequency response will interact to provide a bass guitar's "cutting through the mix" power. We considered this factors whilst selecting the pickups in our range.
W&T Basses are created to bring out the bassist's musicality to light with the utmost ease and fluency.
Thanks to the experience we described in electronics, we will welcome any type of request for a certain bass sound, regardless of the customer's playing style; from earthy growl to fat low end, from snappy funk to detailed phrase articulation and distinct yet full chord outlining, we will respond to each request for tone by using the proper pickups.
Haeussel/W&T Bassbars
Developed by Harry Haeussel under our specific requirements, this is a ultra-responive, especially "singing" version of his Bassbar. While the standard Bassbar's is kind of a breeding, "open-grain" tone, this version delivers a tighter, denser voice that almost seems to melt out of your amplifier.
Dual Coil set with a full-bodied yet clean response throughout the spectrum. Featuring an emphasized low-mid hump, along with stunning balance of crisper highs vs. hiss at extreme treble settings, we recommend the Bassbars to the working bassist who doesn't accept compromises in flexibility. Our favorite pickups for slapping.

The choice for expressive players who integrate soloing, chords outlining and/or other special techniques into their playing.
Highly recommendable when a "singing" voice is needed and when detail in phrase articulation and responsiveness to dynamic expression come first and foremost.

Evolutionary "J" tone. The bridge pickup is an "MM"-type with "J" poles, making a rich tasteful package: thanks to the Series/Single Coil/Parallel selector for the bridge pickup, this powerful match allows spanning from smooth, Vintage classic to growl-aggressive, at the flick of a switch.
